Kummerle Family Grass-fed Beef Cattle Operation ( www.grasslandgraze.com ) is proud
to welcome Bones’ Burgers to our growing family of health conscious restaurant customers.
Our goal is to provide you, the consumer, with the best tasting Grass-fed beef anywhere.
Our cattle come from the highest quality Black Angus breed, and they are raised in
a friendly, clean, and healthy environment. We believe this environment greatly improves
the quality and taste of our meat, and we invite you to come and see our operation
for yourself.
The Kummerle Family Cattle Farm is divided into two different operations. The primary
operation, Grassland Grange, is located in Adams County, Ohio. Grassland Grange specializes
in certified Black Angus genetics using a closed herd - cattle that were originally
bred from the same herd for several generations. New cattle are born from the original
herd itself and are raised on the property with the goal to maintain the purity and
health of the herd. To further increase and improve the quality of Grassland's cattle
herd, only the best heifers are kept for reproduction; the rest are sold to outside
markets. The weaned bulls are sent to the Cincinnati operation. The bulls that show
the best potential are separated and sold to the commercial market for breeding.
The remaining bulls become steers which are kept until they weigh approximately 1200
lbs to 1400 lbs, and are then sold as Grass-fed Beef to restaurants and individual
consumers.
